Production Alpha Pinene

Turpentine (pine oil) is the main component in the rectification of alpha-pinene. Alpha pinene, in turn, is used in the production of fragrances and aromatic substances. Alpha pinene, added to the fragrance, gives it a woody, freshly sweet, pine scent. Alpha-pinene based fragrances are mainly used for household cleaning products, air fresheners, diffusers. Furthermore, Alpha pinene can be one of the components in the composition of higher perfumes for fresh fragrances.

Also, alpha-pinene is the base for the creation of polychlorpinene - a toxic substance used as a poison for pests. The 65% polychlorpinene concentrate is a dark brown liquid with a specific light odor.

Turpentine can be made from pine gum as well as from wood. The first is used for the perfume industry, and the second for chemical industries (e.g. solvents for varnishes and paints).
